Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using OceanGrid ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Description of Service

OceanGrid is a Microsoft Teams application that provides personality assessment services based on the Big Five personality model. The Service helps users understand their work personality traits through a scientifically-backed assessment.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using OceanGrid, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

User Accounts and Microsoft Integration

OceanGrid operates within Microsoft Teams and requires:

  • A valid Microsoft 365 account
  • Permission to access your OneDrive for data storage
  • Acceptance of Microsoft's terms of service

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Microsoft account credentials.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's functionality
  • Use the Service to discriminate against or harm individuals
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

Assessment Results and Accuracy

Important Disclaimer: The personality assessment provided by OceanGrid is for informational and self-discovery purposes only.

  • Results should not be used as the sole basis for employment decisions
  • The assessment is not a diagnostic tool and should not replace professional psychological evaluation
  • Individual results may vary and are based on self-reported answers
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of assessment results

Data and Privacy

Your assessment data is stored in your personal OneDrive account. By using the Service, you:

  • Grant OceanGrid permission to store data in your OneDrive
  • Acknowledge that you are responsible for managing your OneDrive data
  • Understand that your data is subject to Microsoft's data policies
  • Agree to our Privacy Policy (available at /privacy)

Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, functionality, text, graphics, and code, is owned by OceanGrid and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or create derivative works
  • Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Service
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices

The Big Five personality model is based on established psychological research in the public domain.

Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OceanGrid shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
  • Decisions made based on assessment results
  • Service interruptions or errors

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it from your Microsoft Teams workspace. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms.

Upon termination, you may delete your assessment data from your OneDrive at your discretion.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated through the application or email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
